Dit komt omdat de sensor door de hoge vochtigheid van het biogas sterker afkoelt dan dat bij \u2018droog\u2019 gas het geval zou zijn. Er ontstaat een thermisch isolerende damplaag die voorkomt dat de vloeistof direct verdampt.<\/p>\n<p>Dit effect werd vernoemd naar <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Johann_Gottlob_Leidenfrost\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Johann Gottlob Leidenfrost<\/a> die het 1756 beschreef in zijn \u201cTraktaat over enkele eigenschappen van gewoon water\u201d. Sinds die tijd was er nog nooit een praktische toepassing van geweest \u2013 tot nu toe!<\/p>\n<p>De sensor van de Kurz WGF-serie past dit zgn. Leidenfrost-effect toe en zorgt daarmee voor een werkelijk unieke en innovatieve flowmeting.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row height_large\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_default stacking_default\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>De nieuwe WGF-flowmeters functioneren bij nat biogas zo goed vanwege hetzelfde principe. De sensoren in deze instrumenten worden namelijk zodanig verhit dat door een gelijksoortige damplaag de invloed van wisselende gasvochtigheid verwaarloosbaar wordt.Verder is het bij dit type flowmeter niet nodig het volume te corrigeren op basis van druk en temperatuur (EVHI).
